Career Opportunities with the Fortune 100
To become well informed about career options biology majors need to become familiar with the opportunities offered by the largest firms in the United States. Following is a listing of the largest 100 firms in the United States as ranked by 2003 revenue and contained in the business magazine Fortune.
Most of these websites have a “Careers” link. They may also have job listings that provide informative detailed descriptions of openings. Some sites come equipped with “Search” functions enabling you to find jobs by discipline and geographic area. The sites may also include information about their college relations/recruiting program.
Learning about these firms will add to your understanding of the wider career environment. This list may provide you with a start.
